Regular maintenance of hardwood flooring is very easy. All you need to do is sweep, vacuum or dust to remove grit and dirt from the floor. Steam mop and wet mop should not be used on wood floor, because too much water and steam will make the surface finish lose luster with the passage of time, and even damage the hardwood during processing. If there is spillage, clean the floor immediately with a slightly damp or dry cloth. When the floor starts to darken, use the wood floor cleaner recommended by the floor installer to restore luster. If you are not sure about using cleaning agents, check a reliable floor care shop and get advice.
