  What is PVC floor?

  PVC floor is made of PVC and its copolymerized resin as the main raw materials, adding fillers, stabilizers, lubricants, plasticizers, colorants and other auxiliary materials, and producing into continuous flake base materials through blending, extrusion or internal mixing, rolling and other processes. According to different products, the following different processes are selected: coating, laminating, gluing, hot pressing, tempering, cutting and other processing. 

  Products are hard and semi hard products.

  Common terms of PVC floor: PVC LVT / WPC / SPC, etc.

  Several expressions of PVC floor

  Vinyl floor / plant;

  LVT (luxury vinyl tile): luxury vinyl tile;

  LVP (luxury vinyl floor): luxury vinyl floor;

  WPC (wood plastic composite): wood plastic composite material. Bamboo and wood powder are added in the formula. However, it is difficult to process and recycle after adding bamboo and wood powder. At present, there is little or no wood powder in WPC floor base material formula. (the resin can be PE, PP, PVC and other materials with melting point lower than 230 ℃)

  SPC (stone plastic composite): stone plastic composite material, known as RVP (rigid plastic) in Europe and America, rigid plastic floor. (the resin can be PE, PP, PVC, ABS, etc.)

  PVC floor characteristics

  Due to its superior performance and environmental protection, PVC floor has been widely replaced by tile and wood floor in Europe, America and Southeast Asian countries, becoming the most commonly used and popular type of floor, the first choice of floor decoration materials, with a very broad development prospect.

  Green environmental protection: PVC is 100% new environmental protection non-toxic resources, raw materials are non natural materials, do not damage forest resources, formaldehyde free;

  Ultra-strong wear-resistant: PVC floor surface has a transparent wear-resistant layer, its wear-resistant rotation can reach T grade, 0.3mm thick wear-resistant layer can be used under normal conditions for more than 15 years, 0.5mm thick wear-resistant layer can be used for more than 18 years, so it is ultra-strong wear-resistant. SPC flooring is generally guaranteed for 20 years. According to the PVC wear resistance depends on the thickness of the wear-resistant layer, generally can be used for 15-20 years.

  Antibacterial performance: the PVC floor surface is treated with special antibacterial treatment, and the PVC floor surface is also specially added with antibacterial agent, which has a strong killing ability and the ability to inhibit bacterial reproduction for the vast majority of bacteria;

  Fire and flame retardant: the fire resistance index of qualified PVC floor can reach Class B1, which means that the fire performance is very excellent, next to stone. PVC floor itself will not burn and can prevent burning;

  Waterproof, dampproof and mothproof: PVC floor is made of vinyl resin, which has no affinity with water, so it is not afraid of water. As long as it is not soaked for a long time, it will not be damaged, mildew will not occur due to high humidity, and mothproof;

  Sound absorption and noise prevention: PVC floor has a sound absorption effect that cannot be compared with ordinary floor materials, and its sound absorption can reach 20 decibels. Therefore, in the quiet environment such as hospital ward, school library, lecture hall, theater, etc., you no longer need to worry about the impact of high-heeled shoes and the sound of ground knocking on your thinking.   PVC classification and process


  PVC sheet floor is divided into two types: one is homogeneous permeable floor (semi-rigid), the other is multi-layer composite floor (rigid and semi-rigid).

  PVC multi-layer composite floor can be divided into coil floor and sheet floor in terms of form; LVT and WPC floor belong to semi-rigid sheet plastic floor, and SPC (RVP) floor belongs to rigid sheet floor. According to the assembly method, it can be divided into: ordinary (dry back, glue is needed for installation, low price), lock (click) and loose lay (relatively soft). At present, SPC stone plastic floor and WPC wood plastic floor are also in the stage of active promotion and rapid development at home and abroad.

  PVC composite floor

  (1) LVT floor (semi hard):

  [composition]: ① UV treatment layer: bright, stain resistant and protective; ② PVC transparent wear-resistant layer: super wear-resistant and impact resistant; ③ color film layer; ④ (glass fiber mesh): strengthening and dimensional stability; ⑤ medium material layer: dimensional stability; ⑥ bottom material layer: elastic buffer, sound absorption and high foot feel (PVC, cork or EVA foaming in general).

  [process]: 1. Bottom material, medium material (mixing, mixing and calendering); 2. Hot pressing (pasting), static curing; 3. UV roller coating, tempering, static curing; 4. Punching, static curing; 5. Trimming or slotting; 6. Packaging;

  (2) WPC floor (hard): LVT layer (semi hard) + WPC (hard) layer gluing

  [composition]: ① UV treatment layer: bright, stain resistant and protective; ② PVC transparent wear-resistant layer: super wear-resistant and impact resistant; ③ color film layer; ④ (fiberglass mesh: reinforced and dimensional stability); ⑤ medium material layer: LVT layer (thin, generally about 1.5mm); ⑥ WPC layer (thick, generally 4-6mm, low foaming). ⑦ bottom material layer: elastic buffer, sound absorption and improve the foot feeling (PVC, cork or EVA foaming in general).

  [process]: 1. Bottom material, intermediate material (mixing, mixing, extrusion and calendering); 2. Gluing (LVT layer and WPC layer); 3. UV roller coating and tempering; 4. Punching; 5. Edge cutting or slotting; 6. Packaging;

  (3) SPC floor (hard):

  [composition]: ① UV treatment layer: bright, stain resistant and protective; ② PVC transparent wear-resistant layer: super wear-resistant and impact resistant; ③ color film layer; ④ stone plastic layer.

  [process]: 1. Mixing; 2. Extruding; 3. Calendering and thickness fixing; 4. Coating: color film → wear-resistant layer; 5. Cutting; 6. UV treatment (coating and tempering), 7. Cutting → slotting, trimming, chamfering → inspection → packaging.

  Difference between SPC and WPC

  (1) SPC is a hard product with simpler production process and lower cost.

  (2) SPC is more stable in size, more heat and cold resistant, and can be used for floor heating. SPC floor is suitable for indoor space from extremely cold (- 20 ℃) to extremely hot (60 ℃). There is a risk of deformation when the indoor temperature is below 0 ℃.

  Suggestions: LVT floor and WPC floor can be selected for the family lock floor series; stone plastic floor (dry bottom) and SPC floor are more suitable for commercial use.
