What is vinyl composite tile (VCT)? Introduction of vinyl synthetic ceramic tile

VCT is a mixture of natural limestone, fillers, thermoplastic adhesives and color pigments. By fusing chips into solid chips and cutting them into tiles, VCT requires a polished layer to protect its porous surface. Therefore, VCT is not a low maintenance floor product. It requires regular peeling, waxing and polishing, while LVT and vinyl sheets can be obtained by regular cleaning and wiping.

High maintenance costs can cause the life cost of VCT installation to exceed the cost of vinyl flooring and LVT. Moreover, although VCT has a variety of colors and patterns, it cannot meet the same level of texture and design versatility as LVT tiles and / or vinyl panels.

Prior to the advent of LVT, vinyl composite tiles (VCT) were the standard for high flow commercial areas. Although today's VCT usage is not as good as it was 10 years ago, you will still find that they are still used in many healthcare and education applications due to their durability and low upfront costs. When the main upfront material cost is the primary consideration, VCT is a functional and durable commercial flooring option to consider.
